MUSIC, MOMMY & ME classes (ages 2 - 3):

• Develop children’s musical abilities (pitch, rhythm, etc.) and interest in classical music.
• Introduce young children to many elements of music in the form of exciting musical games and with the help of numerous teaching aids.  (The program goes far beyond singing and finger-plays)
• Teach children to play percussion instruments, act out music of famous classical composers, sing, and dance.
• Give young children their first taste of playing piano.

MUSIC WORKSHOP classes (ages 3 - 7):

• Develop musical abilities, listening skills, improving attention span.
• Teach children to appreciate and love classical music (children learn music of great composers: Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Grieg, Schumann, Haydn and others). Kids are introduced to instruments of the orchestra.
• Prepare children for private lessons by teaching them music theory: names of notes, names of piano keys, note values, time signatures.

What is so special about our Group Music classes?

• The whole program is based on classical music. Many compositions that your children learn in these classes are taken from Miss Elena's concert-lectures on Great Composers

• We do not worry too much about teaching children contemporary music – kids hear it every day, everywhere. American folk songs, which we use in our music programs, are important: they give your kids the taste of their own heritage. Classical music is the heritage of humankind.

• In our classes children play piano and many percussion instruments in ensemble. Such activities are very important for kids: they hear and see how the music is made.

• For some parents, “having fun” is the only requirement for their kids’ extracurricular activities. Having fun is important, of course, but it is not enough. Your children should make good noticeable progress in their music education.

• Our music programs for young children encompass more than 500 activities, which cover many of the fundamentals of music.

• Our classes are small. The limit is a maximum of 8 children in Music Workshop classes (ages 3-7) and Music, Mommy & Me classes (ages 2-3). All children are carefully matched according to their age. I believe in quality, not quantity. 

• These programs are continuous. Musical concepts are taught using a step by step approach. Your child will get the maximum benefits, if he/she is enrolled in my music course starting from age 2 through age 6 or 7.

• With people becoming more aware of the priceless benefits of an early music education, music classes have sprouted up everywhere. Many of these music classes are being taught by teachers who have no music education at all. Music backgrounds of our teachers are different: many years of extensive training in piano, solfege, music theory, choral singing, music pedagogy, and many other music disciplines. Plus many years of teaching experience.
